FocusOnJobs.com is a service of LAN Connections Information Services, Inc.
Each time you access or use FocusOnJobs (www.focusonjobs.com) online website, including any content, functionality and services offered on or through the website, whether as a guest or as a registered user.
- You represent that you have read and understand the Privacy Policy;
- By using the website, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of this agreement.
You must be 18 years of age or older, or the age of majority as that is defined in your jurisdiction, whichever is older, to visit or use FocusOnJobs in any manner.
If you do not want to agree to these Terms & Conditions or the Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the website.
Job Listings
FocusOnJobs (“FOJ”) is free to individuals searching for employment openings. FOJ may make available job opportunities and other job-related content, including links to third-party websites through FOJ’s search results or elsewhere throughout the site.
Searching for jobs on FOJ is free for all job seekers. Job ads are created and provided by third parties over whom FOJ has no control.
You acknowledge and understand that FOJ has no control over the content of third-party job ads, links to or from job ads, or any conditions third parties might impose once a job seeker has submitted an application or left the site. If you leave FocusOnJobs.com and choose to enter a third-party website, you accept any terms and conditions imposed by that third-party. FOJ has no obligation to screen any job ads, or to include any job ads in its search results or other listings and may exclude or remove any job ads from the site for any or no reason.
FOJ assumes no responsibility, and disclaims all liability for the content, accuracy, completeness, legality, reliability, or availability of any job ads. FOJ, in some circumstances, may be compensated by employers who post job ads, helping keep FOJ free for all job seekers. All job ads are considered advertising.
FOJ displays job ads on a combination of date posted (descending) and relevance, such as search terms. FOJ offers a “Featured” option available to employers at an additional cost.
You are not permitted to use FOJ’s site or its content for commercial purposes.
For purposes of this section of FOJ’s Terms of Service, all references to “you” or “your” shall mean you, the individual or organization accessing this site as a job seeker.
Your Information
All the information we collect on the website is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using the website, you consent to all actions taken by us with respect to your information in compliance with the privacy policy.
By creating a public resume through the site, you are requesting and authorizing FOJ to make your resume available to third parties, such as employers. By creating or uploading a resume on FOJ, we may share with you job listings that match the contents of your FOJ resume. FOJ assumes no responsibility and disclaims all liability for the resume or application information you post, send or receive through the site.
Applying to Jobs
Once you provide information to an employer (whether in the form of a job application, resume, email, or otherwise), FOJ does not have control over how the employer uses or discloses that information.
If you want the employer to delete, modify, or maintain confidence over any of your information, you must make a request directly to the employer. Employers may request that FOJ assembles your application materials, resume, answers to screener questions, assessment responses and other information you have provided into one document, and you agree that in doing so, FOJ assembles these application materials on your behalf.
When you apply to a job on our site, FOJ will attempt to send your application to the contact information provided to us by the employer. We cannot guarantee that such messages and applications will be delivered, received, accessed, read or acted upon.
In addition, we cannot vouch for the validity of the contact information provided to us by employers. If you do not feel comfortable sending an application or messages in this manner, or having your application or messages stored on FOJ, do not use FocusOnJobs to apply and please send your application or messages directly to the employer by whatever other method you prefer. By applying on our site, you fully consent to the above. By using FocusOnJobs (FOJ), you agree that we are not responsible for the content of the employer’s job application, messages, screener questions, skills assessments or their format or method of delivery.
FOJ does not guarantee the identity of an employer or any individuals working for any employers and cautions job seekers when applying to jobs. FOJ does not guarantee the validity of a job offer and cautions job seekers to verify the validity of all job offers. Job seekers are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any employer or job offer.
You understand and acknowledge that you have no ownership rights in your FocusOnJobs (FOJ) account and that if you cancel your FOJ account, all your account information from FOJ will be marked as deleted in our databases and will be removed from any public area of the FocusOnJobs site. In addition, third parties may retain cached copies of your information.
Prohibited Uses
You may use the website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms & conditions. All users agree not to do any of the following:
- Using the site in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local or international law or regulation
- For the purpose of exploiting, harming or attempting to exploit or harm minors in any way by exposing them to inappropriate content, asking for personally identifiable information or otherwise;
- Transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any “junk mail”, “chain letter” or “spam” or any other similar solicitation;
- Delete or revise any material posted by any other person or entity;
- Aggregate, copy, or duplicate in any manner any of the FocusOnJobs content or information available from FocusOnJobs, without express written consent from FocusOnJobs;
- Impersonate or attempt to impersonate FocusOnJobs, a FocusOnJobs employee, another user or any other person or entity ; or
- To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of the website.
FocusOnJobs does not necessarily monitor materials posted, transmitted, or communicated to or within the site. If you believe that something on the site violates these Terms, please contact us. You may not share your password or other account access information with any other party, temporarily or permanently, and you shall be responsible for all uses of your FocusOnJobs registrations and passwords, whether authorized by you or not. You agree to immediately notify FocusOnJobs of any unauthorized use of your account, profile, or passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, profile, and passwords, as applicable.

Copyright Infringement is serious. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA) provides recourse for copyright owners who believe that material appearing on the Internet infringes their rights under U.S. copyright law.

IN NO EVENT WILL FOCUSONJOBS OR ITS AFFILIATES, OR ITS OR THEIR THIRD-PARTY LICENSORS, BE LIABLE TO ANY USER ON ACCOUNT OF THAT USER’S USE OR MISUSE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SITE. THE FOREGOING DOES NOT AFFECT ANY LIABILITY WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
Filed Claims Limitations
ANY CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM YOU MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OF USE OR THE WEBSITE MUST BE COMMENCED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION ACCRUES, AND WILL NOT EXCEED $50, OTHERWISE, SUCH CAUSE OF ACTION OR CLAIM IS PERMANENTLY BARRED.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FocusOnJobs, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any damages, losses, or expenses, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, resulting from any user content or other material you provide to us, your use of any FocusOnJobs content, or your breach or alleged breach of these Terms. If FocusOnJobs wants you to defend it in any such action, we shall provide prompt notice to you of any related claim or demand.
Term Agreement
These terms will remain in full force and effect whenever you are a user of FocusOnJobs (FOJ) at any time. FocusOnJobs reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to pursue all of its legal remedies, including but not limited to removal of your user content from FOJ and immediate termination of your registration or ability to access FOJ, and/or any other services provided by FOJ, upon any breach by you of these terms or if FOJ is unable to verify or authenticate any information you submit to FOJ or pursuant to other FOJ site registration.
These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and FocusOnJobs and is accepted by you upon your use of FocusOnJobs.
