Senior Accountant Full Time

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant to work for a fast-growing $25M telecom company. It is a hybrid position and compensation is up to $140k.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and finance team to support day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash, AR, AP, prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets




• Prepare recurring and non-recurring journal entries




• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes




• Research and resolve account variances and unusual transactions




• Perform intercompany reconciliations and allocations




• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting




• Assist with monthly financial statements and variance analysis




• Perform bank reconciliations and cash reporting




• Support external audits and provide requested schedules and documentation




• Assist with tax and compliance activities




• Research historical transactions and accounting issues




• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies




• Help implement new systems, processes, and reporting initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting




• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience




• Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct




• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting




• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, AP, AR, accruals, and bank reconciliations




• Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
