Agile Data Technical Lead Full Time

Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking an Agile Data Technical Lead. Candidate will be an innovative and motivated technical leader for the team, and will have the opportunity to influence outcomes, guide transformation, and help build and deliver an enterprise data platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of talented data platform automation engineers
• Deliver solutions that are customer focused, easy to consume and create sustained business value
• Design and implement Cloud based automation solutions in the area of data platforms, while working collaboratively with both internal data engineering teams as well as infrastructure and application design teams
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with various teams, both business and technical, to achieve goals
• Follow established methodology and controls guidelines
• Demonstrate your leadership, coaching and mentoring skills to help develop an impactful team
• Develop individual growth at the company by leading other developers to help them improve as contributors while they progress throughout their career
• Build data platforms and capabilities that enable self-service data analytics, reporting, model development and machine learning and support data discovery, quality, lineage and governance
• Manage and enhance Big Data and Data Warehouse platforms, collaborate with teams and leadership within IT and with business partners to advance our technical capabilities and provide data solutions that drive business results
• Create Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to illustrate how innovative technologies can be incorporated and enhance the company’s technology offerings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience building complex data applications using big data and cloud native data technologies
• Knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices (both SQL and NoSQL)
• 5+ years of experience working with different AWS/cloud native technologies like S3, EMR, RDS, Redshift, EC2, Lambda, Step function and cloud formation templates
• Experience on data lakes, datahub implementation
• Well versed with Information and application security including LDAP, certificates, public key encryption, SSH, access credentials, etc
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scaled Agile organization
• Knowledge or experience in Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
• Ability to independently perform all duties from analysis to deployment to post production and defect fixing
• Big Data and distributed programming models and technologies and techniques
