AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service “under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709” and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. Recruitment Incentive: May be paid to the candidate who is “newly appointed” into this federal government position. The bonus will NTE $10,000. Payment will be a lump sum payment at the beginning of employment. Candidate must agree in writing to remain in this position for a minimum of 12 months, and if they vacate that position for another technician, AGR or active-duty service position within the initial 12-month period, the Incentive may be recouped. Current onboard technicians, if selected, are not eligible for this bonus. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is “excluded” and ineligible for labor organization representation Military Grades: Officer: O1 thru O4 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-13 Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-12 level or the equivalent which provided a working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and federal civilian or military personnel programs; experience assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment; experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion; experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
