Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 firm with a nationally recognized Food & Beverage Industry team, is seeking an experienced Counsel Attorney to join their Washington, D.C. office(link removed) This role focuses on FDA regulatory compliance and enforcement matters, specifically within the food and beverage industries.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record(link removed)>
- Active Bar Admission in DC(link removed)>
- 4+ years of substantive experience in Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory compliance and enforcement, with a strong background in food industry regulations(link removed)>
- Current or recent experience serving at the FDA is required(link removed)>
- Background in food, beverage, cosmetic, and consumer product industries.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, writing, and advocacy skills are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise food industry clients on FDA regulatory compliance, including product labeling, safety, and marketing regulations.
- Represent clients in enforcement actions and regulatory matters before the FDA and other government agencies(link removed)>
- Provide strategic guidance on risk management, compliance programs, and internal investigations(link removed)>
- Stay ahead of regulatory developments affecting the food and beverage sector and counsel clients on emerging risks and opportunities(link removed)>
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to address legal challenges at the intersection of food law, public policy, and litigation.

Compensation & Benefits
