Chief Operating Officer (Manufacturing) Full Time
Solstice Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a manufacturing client in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Our client designs, builds and installs heavy processing equipment, typically large custom projects.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 15+ years of related experience required
7+ years of management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment required
Experience in the custom machinery and equipment sector required
Base salary range: $180k – $200k DOE plus 25% bonus opportunity and benefits
Relocation assistance may be available if not local
Role Overview:
The COO will be responsible for oversight of manufacturing operations (including P&L) for the company and oversee a total staff of approximately 100.
Oversee production planning and scheduling across the company
Work with managers to manage people and financial resource allocation between custom projects and repair services
Ensure safety and quality standards and delivery commitments are met (HSEQ)
Drive operational efficiency, lean manufacturing implementation and cost management
Strategy Execution including organic growth and M&A opportunities
Lead market expansion into target sectors
Develop and improve processes within the organization
Build relationships with key suppliers, customers and partners
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 15+ years of related experience required
MBA a plus
7+ years of management experience in a heavy manufacturing environment required
Experience in the custom machinery and equipment sector required
Strong process and project management experience required
Leadership in HSEQ, P&L, resource needs, supply chain and operations
