SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (OS) Full Time

Basic Requirements: Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed a number of alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of ADP system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project. Specialized Experience (GS14): One year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service or equivalent, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience is defined as experience that includes primary responsibility for leadership and oversight of IT personnel performing implementation and maintenance of server systems in a an enterprise environment; review and improvement of server systems; development of backup, Continuity of Operations and disaster recovery related to servers; and application of information assurance requirements. Selective Placement Factor: Required: Recent, substantial, demonstrated expert level experience with server systems, infrastructure and services including: Active Directory, Domain Name Servers (DNS), data backup, other Microsoft technologies (Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, SQL, MIM, Azure, etc.), and the distribution of patches and updates to all server and client systems. Additional Requirements: Information Assurance certification: Must be able to acquire and maintain an Information Assurance Manager Level I certification in accordance with DoD 8570.1-M.
