The Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago features 334 design forward guest rooms, unique spaces and over 28,000 square feet of meeting space. Situated near the confluence of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River in the Lakeshore East Development Award Winning Aqua Tower, the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago is surrounded by the city’s largest tourist attractions, including MillenniumPark.
Secure (3-5) vendors for each product at varying costs and qualities and obtain best terms with our manufacturers/suppliers.
Manage the receiving department, including:
-Ensures all storage areas are neat, cleaned, and organized
-Manages payroll for the department
-Ensures proper training and coaching and counseling is conducted for personnel in the department
Manage the purchasing and inventory activities of the company.
-Direct & coordinate the procurement goods, supplies & services essential to the supplies operations.
-Contribute in identifying trading & sales strategy for supplies products.
-Forecast procurement needs.
-Build and develop relationships with key manufacturers/suppliers.
-Negotiate prices, delivery terms with our manufacturers and suppliers.
-Prepare purchase requisitions.
-Approve and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
-Initiate and design department purchasing policies and procedures.
-Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective way.
-Coordinate the annual operating equipment and supply requirements
-Coordinate purchases related to capital projects
-Conduct quality control audits to ensure team is properly trained and following established procedures
-Coordinate the process and crosscheck all month end and quarterly inventories of food, beverage, operating equipment and supplies
-Ensures all cooler and freezer temperature logs are maintained
-Ensures Receiving Procedures, to include temperature checks upon product delivery is adhered to
Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork
-Creates an environment that encourages employees to provide the service brand behavior hospitality and teamwork
-Ensures that all minimum requirements of the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee are in place and understood by all employees
-Ensures that the hotel delivers 100% Guest Satisfaction by developing customer feedback avenues (soliciting input, reports, etc.) and focusing management team on identifying trends and developing and implementing solutions
-Creates an environment that provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver the service brand behavior and teamwork
Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest
-Must be able speak, read and understand English fluently
-3 years experience in similar position/management within an upscale environment
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members and employees
-Must possess a strong team spirit
-Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities.
-Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and purchasing programs.
