Network Engineer All Types
Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is presently recruiting for a Network Engineer for a position for one of our clients in Montgomery, AL.
The Network Engineer will design network architectures; troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems; alert management, help desk team, and other IT groups when sensitive issues arise or a major problem is suspected; minimize client productivity loss caused by technology outages, and provide necessary infrastructure for clients to meet their business needs. This position will also design, implement and monitor of security architecture to provide integrity of the data communications network. Proactively monitor events and logs to alert staff of network intrusions. Also monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughout and availability.
The qualified individual will participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the telecommunications infrastructure; for example, evaluate new software and hardware required to meet a business need or to make a process more cost effective.
This person must configure, install, and maintain necessary hardware and software for LAN/WAN hardware and software to provide a suitable environment to run production applications and perform development; perform maintenance and release upgrades on a timely basis or as needed; monitor performance and availability of LAN/WAN platforms
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
Minimum of four years of professional experience Network technologies in an enterprise environment.
Arista 7020, 7160, 7280 series data center switching
Aruba 7200 series mobility controllers
Fortinet Universal Threat Management devices
Riverbed Steelhead WAN optimization
Extrahop Reveal(X) Network Performance, Diagnostics & Monitoring suite
HP MSR2000, HSR6800 series routers
HP 5830, 5900 series switches
Cisco 2900 series switches
Packet capture analysis and diagnostics
Protocol experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP , IPSec, MSTP/STP, RTP
Experience with network design and LAN/WAN optimization/acceleration
Software Defined Networking
EDUCATION
BS Degree in Computer Science or related technology degree highly desired
Certifications in Networking or Security Discipline strongly preferred; CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, CISSP, GIAC etc.
