Currently seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a growing healthcare company offering a strong corporate culture. Applicants must have prior healthcare and coding experience and/or AHIMA and AAPC certifications.

Responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist:

• Handling charge review




• Entering CPT and ICD-10 codes




• Receiving and posting payments




• Processing full cycle billing & collections




• Verifying and auditing billing for accuracy




• Resolving discrepancies in accounting and records

• Knowledge in EOB’s, Medicare/Medicaid, pre-certifications, denials/appeals & authorizations




• Knowledge in coding including CPT, ICD-9 and ICD-10




• AHIMA and AAPC certifications highly preferred




• High volume billing experience required




• 2-3 years of healthcare experience required




• Strong communication and technical skills

Compensation of the Medical Billing Specialist:

• $17-22/hour, depending on experience
