Your resume must demonstrate at least one year information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail – Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: reviewing certification and accreditation documentation to ensure compliance with accreditation process; Identify IT security program implications of new technologies or technology upgrades. 2. Customer Service – Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: managing or monitoring information systems or network security in support of an organization’s mission; utilizing knowledge related to information assurance and IT security to resolve inquires. 3. Oral Communication – Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing guidance or recommendations on corrective actions to identify procedural or systems deficiencies; interact collaboratively with others and to be able to negotiate and resolve complex issues associated with Information Assurance Accreditation Process. 4. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above: For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and implementing Information Technology cyber security tools, procedures, and protocols for the administration or operation of system networks to ensure accreditation and compliance in accordance with established guidelines. For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating established Information Technology cyber security tools, procedures, and protocols to identify and resolve accreditation and compliance issues to ensure accordance with established guidelines.
