You may be considered for GS-2210 Series if you possess information technology related experience demonstrating each of the four required competencies: Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience for GS-12: You may qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level performing the following duties: Applying systems testing tools, methods, and techniques, including automated systems analysis,testing and evaluation methods; Experience testing and evaluating major system and network operating systems i.e. Microsoft Windows, DNS, Microsoft Exchange/Outlook and Microsoft Office; Reporting and tracking identified errors and defects through to resolution, updating test cases as required. Specialized Experience for GS-13: You may qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level performing the following duties: Experience developing systems testing tools, methods, and techniques, including automated systems analysis and testing methods, and tools to test and optimize the functionality of systems, networks, and data; Designing, developing, testing, implementing management and support of systems and networks; Implementing Agile Systems Engineering Life Cycle Test and Evaluation disciplines to evaluate the relation and technical ramifications of the hardware (equipment), software (COTS, Executive, and applications), data, and procedures (management processes) to one another in order to evaluate and test systems. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
