Texas Oncology is looking for a full-time Front Office Supervisor to join our team! This position is for the Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. What does the Front Office Supervisor do?
The Front Office Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and operation of the Front Office functions in multiple departments at this site. Acts as liaison with physicians, patients and other office staff. Responsible for assisting in the development of and administration of office policies and procedures. Supervises and coordinates front office staff activities and responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities:
Overseeing direct reports such as the Patient Service Coordinators and Patient Benefit Representatives.
Working with market Revenue Cycle Supervisors for coverage as needed.
Managing Payroll and Workday.
Implementing and following up on new processes.
Increasing and maintaining upfront collections.
Collaborating with physicians and department managers.
Working with the Patient Benefit Representatives to ensure the completion of cost estimates, schedule reviews, patient calls, etc.
Monitoring Hold Bill Alerts and TES Edits that reports through these departments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Front Office Supervisor position will have the following background and experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of medical office experience required.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of governmental, legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities.
