Engineering Technician Full Time

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project. The NJ-03 broadband incorporates former (GS equivalents) GS-09 step 1 through GS-11 step 10 grade levels and salary levels. Pay increase within the band will be accomplished through the Contribution-based Compensation and Appraisal System (CCAS). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required for NJ-03 level: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must identify that you possess 1 year of which was equivalent to at least NJ-02. Specialized experience is defined as Developing preliminary statements of work, designs, and cost estimates; Recommends appropriate courses of action for design considerations of infrastructure projects; Prepare drawings and details of proposed projects using required software; Research various regulatory and code requirements to assist in the decision-making process; and Coordinate and deconflict construction activities.
